Dagger Rose features a base of powerful cold-pressed, virgin, certified organic Rosehip oil - shown to reduce fine lines caused by UV damage and reduce hyper pigmentation of scaring, due to its high concentration of free radical scavengers, antioxidants, tannins, and carotenoids. Rose otto oil is featured for its antibacterial qualities and relaxing scent, around twelve organic rose flowers are used to make this oil.

DIRECTIONS

Dagger Rose melts on skin contact, with clean dry hands, massage a small amount into cleansed skin, morning and night, before water based serums, followed by heavier serums and moisturisers. Focus on areas of sensitivity and the delicate eye contour. Store in cool, dry, dark location. Do not allow water to enter product.

ADDITIONAL

What's in a name? If you look back through history some sources think rosehip or dog rose is a corruption of 'dagger rose', so-called in reference to the shrub’s jagged-edged leaves.

Dog Rose (Rosa Canina)

What's the difference between the balm and facial oil? The balm version is gentler and more moisturising due to its inclusion of organic shea butter. The facial oil has a higher concentration of active ingredients for a more direct application.

In the rare event of the balm becoming too soft, simply leave it for a couple of hours in a refrigerator. To prevent this happening please store the balm in a cool location out of direct sunlight.

What's in a name? Giacomo Bosio, a 17th century monastic scholar, named passionflower 'flower of the five wounds'  so-called in reference to the 5 stamens of the flower resembling the 5 wounds of Christ. We feel this name is symbiotic with the balms skin rejuvenating properties.

Is this balm suitable to use with oily skin? Yes. It’s natural to believe an oil based product would be unsuitable for oily skin, when in fact organic oils such as this blend can help balance out the skin preventing breakouts. All oils carefully chosen in our blends are non comedogenic, with the molecules being small enough to resemble our skin cell structure, this allows the product to be easily absorbed. In turn our skin is left more balanced as sebum glands are signalled to slow down sebum production.

In the rare event of the balm becoming too soft, simply leave it for a couple of hours in a refrigerator. To prevent this happening please store the balm in a cool location out of direct sunlight.
